Where are the games played?  Each team will play 6 games.  The 3 home games will be
played at the Vassar High School field and the other 3 will be at our opponents field.

What time are the games?  All games are played on Saturdays and start times can range
from 9:00am to 7:00pm.

When are practices?  At the beginning of the season, we usually practice Monday thru
Thursday from 6-8pm.  When school starts, normally we'll drop Wednesday practice.

Where do you practice?  Our practice field is located at the corner of Arch & Water streets,
near the Water Treatment Plant.

Why do you practice so often?  We practice 3 & 4 days a week for many reasons.
Football is a contact sport and it takes time and repetition to teach proper techniques, which are
important from a safety standpoint.  Football also has more positions than other sports, that need
to be taught, and again, this takes time.

Can I coach or do anything to help the program?  If you are interested in coaching or
any other volunteer position, contact a board member.

Can my daughter cheer for her brother's team?  Yes, cheerleaders and their
siblings will be placed on the same team whenever possible.

Do all kids play in every game?  Yes, in fact the MMRFL requires each child to play a
minimum of 12 plays per game.  Most of the time, the kids play much more than that.

Why are there only 6 games and no playoffs?  The MMRFL establishes their rules
based on MHSAA rules which state that children under 9th grade cannot play more than 6 games
in a season.

How are positions determined?  This is ultimately the coach's decision and is based on
many things, including player size, ability, speed, experience and most importantly, safety.

I don't live in Vassar, but I still want to play, can I?  Yes, contact us for details.
